Overweight and obesity in adults has risen 56% to 63% from 1995 to 2012, vastly increasing the risk of developing Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) plus many other health risks, including diabetes, decreased life-span and fatigue. CVD is the leading cause of preventable disease in Australia today.
Our programme includes three hypnotherapy sessions and a follow up.
During the first session the issue will be discussed in greater detail, an introduction to the golden rules of weight-loss, a discussion of some of the myths surrounding “dieting” and the first hypnotherapy session will be delivered.
The therapy applied will depend on the individual presenting with the desire to lose weight. If the client has struggled to maintain their ideal weight for a long time, we may use regression to search back through the memory under hypnosis to find the initial sensitising event that imprinted the need to eat when not hungry, and work at removing it at source.
In any event, a programme designed to meet the needs of the individual client will be implemented. There is no “One size fits all solution”; each client is unique, and will be treated as such.
During the second session we will reinforce mindfulness of eating and health and fitness in general. Additionally using some positive worded suggestions and ego strengthening techniques; relaxation methods and self hypnosis will also be covered during the second session.
The third session will include further reinforcement, building in further mechanisms to support mindfulness, waking up a desire to increase the health and wellbeing. General suggestions for well being and calmness will be further reinforced. Future pacing is applied throughout, allowing the client to see and feel the pleasure and pride at having achieved their weight loss goals.

It could be that you feel the need for a boost of confidence to feel less anxious about a forthcoming event; like an important interview, presentation or speaking event. It could be that you’ve been feeling generally anxious and stressed for quite a while.

If the anxiety has been a very long term experience, we may use regression to search back through the memory under hypnosis to find the initial sensitising event that imprinted the anxiety, and work at removing it at source.
During the second session we will reinforce self confidence using some positive worded suggestions and ego strengthening techniques; relaxation methods and self hypnosis will also be covered during the second session.
The third session will include further reinforcement, building in further mechanisms to support calmness and confidence. General suggestions for well being and calmness will be further reinforced.
The general feelings of deep relaxation and calmness; through the use of suggestion, metaphor and guided imagery techniques, ensure that the experience is very pleasant for the client. Anxiety and relaxed calmness are polar opposites, the deep relaxation experienced acts very quickly to relieve the feelings of anxiety.The techniques taught will allow the client to further reinforce the peaceful stress free experience as required in the future.

Hypnotherapy has a very good success rate for helping clients become non-smokers. The experience is very relaxing and pleasant; the calming effect of hypnosis helps enormously and provides an ideal platform to support the smoking cessation therapy. My personal approach is to provide three, one hour sessions, placed one week apart. Typically, to permanently change a habit, takes 21 days.
During the first session, we will discuss your smoking habit in some detail, to find out what your triggers are, what you personally get out of hanging onto the habit, your lifestyle, other habits and a medical history.
I would then apply a hypnotherapy treatment to address your particular smoking habit.
The second session would build on this and include further hypnotherapy and ego-strengthening reinforcement.
The last session builds further and includes future pacing, to see yourself clearly going through a typical day, without the habit of smoking in your life. To have the urge to smoke replaced with an intense feeling of pleasure and pride at having achieved success in becoming a non-smoker. All information taken and anything discussed during the sessions is treated with total confidentiality.

Whereas traditional Hypnotherapy is used to treat a variety of ailments, like: Smoking Cessation, Weight Management and Anxiety; Mind Massage is used to provide a purely relaxing and re-energising tonic, or pick-me-up.
